Why Pharmaceutical Piping Standards Are Appearing in Data Centre Specs

Expect to see, in growing numbers of data centre cooling specifications: sanitary tube to ASME BPE or DIN 11866, internal Ra limits, EPDM-gasketed clamp connections at serviceable plant, orbital weld requirements with borescope sampling, and full material traceability in the handover pack. Contractors coming from traditional building services sometimes read this as gold-plating. It isn’t — every line item maps to a cold-plate failure mode.
